Business Developer Photonics (m/f/x)
Job Description
For 32 – 40 hours per week, we are looking for a Business Developer with some expertise in Photonics or high-tech. You will play a pivotal role in driving our company’s growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, fostering strong client relationships, and expanding our market presence.
What will you do
Cultivate Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain meaningful connections with potential members, partners, and stakeholders within the photonics community.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the leadership team to formulate and execute strategic plans that drive PhotonicsNL’s growth.
Market Expertise: Stay at the forefront of industry trends and market developments in photonics.
Event Participation: Represent PhotonicsNL at industry-specific events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the company’s objectives.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams within PhotonicsNL to align business development efforts with the organization’s overall goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, engineering, or physics. A track in Photonics is a plus.
Preferably some experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the photonics industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and nurture relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Analytical thinking and strategic planning abilities.
Willingness to travel to industry events and partner locations as needed.
Having a strong grasp of the English language is essential. Knowledge of Dutch is an added advantage.
Self-motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
A deep passion for Photonics and a commitment to staying updated on industry developments.
Location
There is no permanent office, you work from home with regular team meetings anywhere in the Netherlands, in consultation with the team.
Position in the organization
As a Business Developer, you are directly accountable to the director of PhotonicsNL.
Salary and secondary employment conditions
Depending on your experience, your salary indication is € 35.000 – € 45.000 p/y.
We offer good secondary employment conditions such as commuting costs, pension participation, ANW-insurance, WGA-gat insurance, WIA-additional, and everything that’s needed to have a comfortable home office.
