Photonic Quantum Technologies visit to Scotland

After the Quantum Innovation Mission at the end of last year many of you have expressed a keen interest in the Scottish quantum/photonics ecosystem.

They are pleased to invite you for a work visit scheduled from  21-24 May, 2024. Those who have not joined the innovation mission last year are also warmly invited to join.

The focus of the visit will be on photonic quantum technologies, as Scotland’s vibrant £1.2bn photonics cluster has been the foundation of Scotland’s quantum accomplishments to date. This cluster, containing around 60 companies supported by a world leading academic base, has been responsible for around 40% of the UK’s collaborative research in quantum technologies over the last 10 years.

With this visit we aim to further strengthen connections between the ecosystem in Scotland and the ecosystem in the Netherlands as we recognise that in order to support the growth of our quantum industries, fostering partnerships with key international allies and ensuring effective collaboration between academia, industry and government is critical.
